BAD weather failed to dampen the spirits of an elite group of business leaders and important stakeholders who came out in numbers to be part of the corporate social and “know your hospital” event at Fiji’s largest state-of-the-art private 130-bed hospital recently.

Jack’s Group managing director and Vision Group chairman Dilip Khatri, right, being interviewed by freelance photojournalist Shalendra Prasad.
Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH) Hospitals hosted the guests as part of their outreach programme to showcase their services, modern equipment and introduce the specialist pool of medical professionals who are ready to serve not only the local population but the entire Pacific community and tourists visiting our shores.
PSH Hospitals founder and chief executive officer Parvish Kumar said from a humble beginning in Suva with a pool of ten doctors, the hospital now enjoys the combined expertise and knowledge of over 90 highly trained and professional medical specialists spread over the two hospitals in Suva and Nadi respectively.
Jack’s Group managing director Dilip Khatri who was given a personal tour of the hospital together with his wife Bharti was really impressed with what he saw.
“It is such a blessing to have such world-class medical facilities right at our doorsteps,” Mr Khatri said.
“We had an amazing tour and my biggest pleasure came after meeting Parvish and seeing his passion to bring such excellent services to Fiji. His passion is genuine and comes from the heart, and is not driven by financial ambitions,” Mr Khatri added.
Mr Khatri said PSH Hospitals and its facilities are exactly what Fiji needed for a long time.
“The existence of PSH Hospitals could have a lot of spin-offs especially for the tourism industry. For example the concept of retirement homes has been discussed for a while in Fiji but the reason it didn’t take-off is due to the lack of acceptable medical facilities but all that will change now because of PSH Hospitals.”
Former Lautoka City Council and Ba Town Council special administrator Dipti Sharma who owns MyDesk in Nadi echoed similar sentiments after taking a tour of the hospital premises.
“What an incredible journey this hospital has had – from humble beginnings to becoming a state-of-the-art medical facility right here in Fiji. The hospital now offers cutting-edge procedures and modern medical equipment, making advanced healthcare more accessible to our community,” Ms Sharma shared on her social media handles.
“Special appreciation to founder Mr Parvish Kumar and his dedicated team for their vision and commitment to healthcare excellence.
“The comprehensive hospital tour showcased impressive facilities that will revolutionise medical care in Fiji.
“It was wonderful connecting with fellow Nadi business leaders at this networking event. Proud to see world-class healthcare taking shape in our own backyard!”
