Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry members led by president Lawrence Kumar had an absolute pleasure meeting the Austrian Trade Commissioner Ms Ulrike Straka who is based in Sydney, Australia on Friday, March 13 in Nadi.

Various topics were discussed and an Austrian Business Delegation is expected to visit Fiji later this year for possible collaboration in the following areas: –

1. Industrial production (e.g. food processing and other manufacturing industries)
2. Horticulture and agriculture (including sugar cane)
3. Import- and export-oriented companies
4. Mining
5. Renewable energy
6. Infrastructure
7. Potential local partners for Austrian companies, including representatives for automation, energy efficiency solutions, and engineering consultancy services
8. Local hotel investors
